off until noon. we all go into waggons and arrived at Franklin at 10 A.M. of the 9th and got on board steamers and came down to Berwick where we staid until the 13th. while here the 1st & 2nd Brigad went via the Gulf to Texas.
" 13th Crossed the bay to Brashear City where we staid until the 22nd. part of the Brig went to Plaquemmine on the Mississippi River.
" 22nd Took the cars and went to Algiers. Our Paroled Prisoners joined us.
" 25th Got on board Steam Ship St. Mary and started for Texas. arrived off Pass Cavallo on the evening of the 27th. hard storm on 26th, 27th & 28th. on the 29th went down to Aransas Gap.
" 30th landed three companies of 69th Ind. and then got orders to return to Pass Cavallo the rebs having evacuated
