Hall diary

16th when we proceeded down the river. Stoped at Louisville Ky at dark on the 17th and lay at the wharf until 2 P.M. of hte 18th. we run down through the canal and anchored a short distance below New Albany, In. and lay there until the evening of the 19th and this made a run of 3 miles and stoped at a wood yard and lay there until morning when we persued our way down the river arriving at Cairo, Ill. at 10 A.M. of the 23rd and at about 2 Oclock went on down the river arriving at Columbus, Ky. about 9 P.M. Same evening
" 24th Left Columbus about 10 A.M. and arrive at Memphis Tenn on the morning of the 27th
