Hall diary

three Regts could eat. we were just in a condition to appreciate such kindship. after dinner we marched down to Sciotosville 3 miles from Wheelersburg and camped for the night near town.
During all this march we were without tents or any shelter having destroyed them at the Gap. a great many of hte boys made this march of over 200 miles barefoot over a rough and mountainous road. we were a hard looking set to come into a civilized coutnry.
" 5th This morning at 7 Oclock we got on the cars and started for Camp Dennison. arrived at Hamden Juntion where we were to change cars
