MOVING SOUTH TOWARD MEMPHIS

On this day the regiment, with DeCourcey's brigade, remained anchored until evening. The flotilla then proceeded down the Ohio River for three hours and again anchored for the night. The place of this anchorage is not known but at a rate of ten miles per hour we will assume they moved south about 30 miles.
