Musician's Uniform - Coat and Cap
Web Author's Notes:

Below is the musician's coat and cap worn by Musician Daniel S. Marshall of Company K. These beautiful relics are currently owned by Musician Marshall's granddaughter and the images were provided by her daughter Suzanne and Suzanne's sister, Fran. The website sincerely thanks the family for sharing these wonderful relics.

Daniel S. Marshall served in Company K as a Musician from September 10, 1861, until his discharge for medical reasons on December 2, 1862. His brother, Joseph, also served along side Daniel as a Private in Company K from September 13, 1861, until also being medically discharged on March 7, 1863, about three months after Daniel. Joseph later re-enlisted in Company D of the 9th Ohio Cavalry serving for 17 months until mustering out in July of 1865 at Lexington, North Carolina.
